Year 1919-1924 The Khilafat movement (1919–1924) was a pan-Islamic, political campaign launched by Muslims in British India to influence the British government and to protect the Ottoman Empire during the aftermath of World War1.
Year 1927-1933 • 1927: The British government appointed a commission under Sir John Simon in November 1927.
