2. GREEN VOLUNTEER MOVEMENT • A sign of struggle to save the environment for every living being. • To make people realize the importance of environment. • To help the victims of any disaster • To sensitize people that society is a system of services.

3. AIMS AND OBECTIVES • To prevail the idea of GREEN VOLUNTEER. • Every member of society is green volunteer. • To keep the environment clean and green. • To create awareness among people. • To come to know about the major environmental problems. • To get suggestion from the people how to prevent these problems. • Awareness campaigns by visiting different areas of the city, school & colleges and departments of the university.

4. Dr. Shahida Zakir and Students of Batch 6THE INITIATORS • she initiated the movement in late 2008, • started the movement practically by visiting different departments and delivered lectures. • she boosted the students of B.6( Deptt Of Env.Sciences) to perform the same task.

5. OUR ACHIEVEMENTS • A successful awareness campaign. • A great volunteer effort in Collection of relief fund and distribution of food and necessary items among the IDPs.

6. AWARENESS COMAIGN • Visits to many schools and colleges and the departments as well. • Delivered lectures and presentations about environmental degradation such as Pollution. We focused on three main points. • Causes of environmental problems. • Effects of environmental problems. • Preventive methods of these environmental problems.

8. SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES. • Fatima Jinnah College UOP. • Agriculture Public School and College UOP. • Professional College Of Commerce Peshawar. • Aqsa Model School Takht Bhai. • University Public School Peshawar. DURATION: 1 Month

9. STAGES OF THE MOVEMENT • Questionnaire. • Delivering Presentations And Lectures. • Awareness percentage from the Questionnaire. • Project Report.

10. RESULTS From The Campus. • 45% to 60% of the students are unaware how they damage the environment and what steps should be taken to overcome the environmental problems. From Schools And Colleges. • Even the basic facts about the environment are hidden. They knew very little about the environment. • 70% to 80% of the students did not know about the major environmental problems of there own areas and were unaware of causes, effects and prevention of these problems.

11. WORK AT JALOZAI CAMP FOR INTERNALLY DISPLACED PEOPLE • 5 days consecutive visit. • Food and other necessary items delivery. • Interview from the IDPs. • Interview from the Social workers. • Report on camp’s situation.
