  2. Unit Summary • Students play the role of athlete in swimming against the stream and also with the stream. • Student will take the role of mathematician as well as a scientist in establishing relation between distance, speed and time. • Student will find formula to calculate the time required to reach a certain distance in up stream or down stream.

  3. CFQ (curriculumframing Questions) • Essential Question • Do you know swimming? • Unit Questions • Will you experience the same in swimming in a pond and swimming in a river? • Content Questions • Which way it is easier to swim, down stream or up stream? • What is the relation between speed, distance and time?

  4. Vision for Unit • By creating this unit I want to Develop sportsmanship in my students Create adventures attitudes Think in a divergent way to help people of the community. Use technology to address the problems of the society.

  5. Project Approaches • As my students work on this project, they Establish a connection between Theoretical formula and practical results. Collaborate with peers and community members. Create a formula that shows what they have learned. Share their learning with a real audience

  6. Requests for feedback • Need innovative ways to help students understand the concept of relative speed keeping their interest alive. • Need help assessing students higher thinking skills.
