COMPLIANCE – Self Assessment • Annual Self Assessment Tool is a compliance requirement that aims to engage VET delivery schools to self assess their status and identify areas for improvement. • The schools Action Planprovides the direction for the year ahead and hence should be reflected upon when the next self assessment is undertaken. • It is very much about Continuous Improvement • The next step: Site Visits - October/ September. • The team will review all the self audits and select 10 schools from across the RTO to visit and carry out a site validation. This process is an ASQA compliance requirement for the AISRTO

TEACHER TRAINING UPGRADES TAE40110 Certificate IV Work Place Training & Assessment – WHO? Teachers with BSZ & TAA HOW? Online through VETASSESS. The candidate will need to be able to provide evidence to VETASSESS if and when they conduct their validation and checking process. What about the LLN (Language, Literacy & Numeracy)? Must be complete by July 2015 Watch this space as the AIS will inform you ASAP. In the meantime start collecting evidence that may demonstrate your use and training in LLN
TEACHER TRAINING UPGRADES SIT12 Hospitality WHO? All Hospitality teachers need to transition to the SIT12 to be able to deliver Hospitality in 2014 HOW ? • AIS has negotiated a program with William Angliss Institute (WAI) to provide upgrade training. • Indentifying specific pathways and commencement points – depending on your pre-existing qualifications. WHAT? The program will be a combination of online tutorial, assessment and/or RPL via distance. WHEN?2 Rounds First Round will receive: • Enrolment Form – Needs to be completed, printed and signed before scanning and sending it to WAI by 26th July 2013 • Introduction letter which outlines the specific program and the required certified documents • IT system requirements for the online units

The AIS has negotiated a program with Northern Beaches Institute to provide upgrade training WHAT? A work booklet and a small practical project Watch this space as the AIS will NOTIFY you very soon in regards to the enrolment process
