Modern World History

This project focuses on researching and presenting significant dates, people, and events from the Age of Imperialism. Students will create a detailed annotated timeline highlighting major turning points and events. The project can be done individually or in groups of up to four students, using a minimum of 30 significant events presented chronologically. Each student will also submit a completed graphic organizer. The final project can be a PowerPoint or poster, due by November 30, 2017.

  1. Modern World History Unit 5- Age of Imperialism Timeline

  2. Task Students will research and select the major dates, people, and events of the Age of Imperialism. Students will create an Annotated Timeline highlighting major turning points and events.

  3. Annotated Timeline • Students must have a minimum of 30significant events from the Age of Imperialism for timelines. • Items on Timeline must be chronological in order. • May be done individually or by groups of no more than 4 students • Along with final product, each student must turn in completed graphic organizer ( work sheet)

  4. Annotated Timeline • Final Project may be a PowerPoint or Poster • Due Date: November 30, 2017
