Managing transition from NQF to QCF implementation(LSC, Mar 2010) http://alturl.com/ndvk • April ‘10 List – August ’10 Delivery: If the QCF qualification is accredited and confirmed for funding by 1st April 2010, providers will be required to deliver it (new starts on NQF predecessors will not be funded) from 1st August 2010 • September ’10 List – January ’11 Delivery: If the QCF qualification is accredited and confirmed for funding between 1st April and 31st August 2010 inclusive, providers will be required to deliver it as soon as possible. New starts on NQF predecessors will not be funded from January 2011 • Readiness review: In August 2010, the SFA will consider QCF readiness, focusing in particular on whether critical provision (in terms of volumes and identified priorities) is available on the QCF and if there are areas of critical provision not yet available
Managing the transition from the NQF to the QCF implementation – 2 For all NQF qualifications without a direct QCF successor it is intended that new starts will not be funded from January 2011, or sooner if funding approval is already due to end before that date A list of NQF qualifications which will not be funded will be published alongside each of the published lists of approved QCF qualifications Live list at http://qfr.lsc.gov.uk/ukvqrp/support/list updated on a regular basis through the transition period. A ‘freeze’ of the list will be taken on the 1st April 2010 and on the 1st September 2010. These will form the definitive lists for delivery as of 1st August 2010 and 1st January 2011 respectively.
