Duration and Funding • Accompanying measure under IST Programme • Start: 1 February 2000 • Duration: 3 years • Only activities / services at European level are funded by European Commission • National based support for proposers is nationally funded
Objectives • To raise awareness of IST Programme in the area of cultural heritage applications • Information dissemination • programme information • project results • To enhance quantity and quality of proposals • To link European institutions with national bodies and professional organisations
Activity 1 (1)Establishing the networks • Establishing a national co-ordinating body in each country (partner countries and associated countries) National Nodes
Activity 1 (2) Establishing the networks • Building up national networks in each country • with representatives from all relevant memory institutions
Activity 1 (3) Establishing the networks • Linking the national networks on European levelco-ordinating the “content activities” of the national networks at European level
Activity 2 (1) Dissemination and Information • Establishment of national Web pages • by network partners • common Web design and structure • common domain names <http://www.<nation>.cultivate-eu.org> • information in English and national language • links to existing Web information

Management & Administration (2) • Cost claiming • recording of hours worked for each workpackage • cost accounting • every 6 month cost claim due
Management & Administration (3) • Formative evaluation • after each milestone (about every 6 months) • production of self-assessment report by workpackage leader • self-assessment report to be discussed with co-ordinator and steering group

Management & Administration (5) • Annual Reviews • at the European Commission • once a year • aim: to guarantee progress and quality of the project • participants: project officer, project partners, 2 independent evaluators
