The foundations • Reinforced concrete 8 x 8 inches minimum; • 3 feet deep minimum; • Footing: 2 feet wide and 1 foot high; • Straps to bolt the foundations to the house
The flooring • Beam 4 x 4 or 4 x 6 placed on the edge • Joist on the edge • Straps to reinforce the connection between the elements of the structure
The frame • 4 x 4 in each corner • Up-rights 2 feet apart • Double up-rights around doors and windows • Brace the corners • T Straps on each up-rights top and bottom
The straps • Straps to connect the elements of the structure together (foundations/flooring, flooring/up-right,…)
The boarding up board • Rabbit & Spring all around the frame
The gable roof • Roof with a 30 degree slope • Double top plates • 2 x 8 ridge beam • Rafters 2 feet apart
The gable roof • Eaves 8 inches long • Ceiling with 1 x 6 boards above the rafters • Straps to reinforce the connection between ridge beam/rafters and rafters/top plate
The gable roof • Lath (1 x 6) at the bottom • Lath (1 x 4) 2 feet apart • Galvanized sheet 26 gauge thick • 2 rows of nails every corrugations at the bottom • 1 nail every other corrugation on the main part • 1 nail every corrugation on the ridge cap
