A is for… • Ambulance Ride When I was 7, I had to ride in an ambulance because I couldn’t breath. It was a fine night until I stopped breathing. I remember this night perfectly. I woke up drenched in sweat. My throat was sticky and it felt like someone was stabbing it with a sharp knife. I got out of bed and got some water. I went back into my room but I just couldn’t fall asleep. I then got back up and went into my parents room and woke my mom up. I told her that I couldn't breath very well. My mom shot out of bed and dialed 911. In a couple of minutes, a fire truck and an ambulance came probably waking up the whole neighborhood. I sat on the sofa for a minute while the medic came inside. My mom picked me up and carried me out to the ambulance. She dropped me off and told me that she would be following the ambulance in her car. When she left the driver shut the doors and we started to go to the hospital. I remember coughing into some sort of gas while something was being put into my arm. I guess that I fell asleep because when I woke up I was in a white room with white and yellow tiles. A pillow with cats on it was under my head. This was weird because I was supposed to go to the hospital the next day to get my tonsils removed, but they let me go home before they took them out. I thought that it would have been easier if they just took them out while I was there.

When we finally found it, it was time to go to Cirque Du Soleil! When we got to the Radio City Music Hall, where cirque du Soleil was performing, my grandma got the tickets and we went inside the gorgeous hall. There was a camel there and when I went up to the enclosure to see it better the camel opened its mouth and it licked my face. The camels tongue was very long and green and gross. After that, we went to go see the goats. One of the goats was eating my shirt. I had no idea what was happening and before my mom realized what was going on, most of my shirt was in the goats mouth.
