  11. Primary Care Data • Approximately 79% of contact with the NHS is in Primary Care. • Wealth of Data almost inaccessible. • Data not coded uniformly – so many local codes • Difference in use of Read Codes between practices • Data not recorded at all

  14. The Way Forward • Delivering the performance management agenda in the NHS will depend on the availability of high quality information in general practice • Better, more consistent practice data • Readily available
