  2. Astronomy • Is the study of the universe beyond Earth. Astronomers study the solar system, stars and galaxies and try to understand the universe and it’s history.

  3. Environmental Science • Environmentalists study the Earth’s environment and resources and they try to determine the effects of human activities and then try to solve problems like pollution.

  4. Geology • The study of the solid Earth. Geologist study the forces that have helped shape the Earth.

  5. Meteorology • The study of Earth’s Atmosphere. Meteorologists gather information about conditions in the atmosphere from around the world as well as forecast the weather.

  6. Oceanography • The study of the Earth’s oceans. Oceanographers study the chemistry of the ocean, the shape of the ocean floor and the living organisms in them.
