Officer • A person who commands others such as a major, captain, or an admiral
Stern • The rear part of a ship
Bow • The forward part of a ship
Oars • Long poles with flat blades at one end, used in rowing.
Anchor • A heavy shaped piece of iron or steel attached to a chain or rope and dropped into the water to hold a ship in place
Porthole • Opening in a ship’s side to let in light and air.
Lookout • Place from which to watch. A crow’s nest is a look out.
