Childhood • Lisa Nicole Lopes was born May 27, 1971 in Philadelphia, Penslyvania • Parents: Wanda & Ronald Lopes • Her parents 1st child • Really tiny for her age • Scared her mom with her big eyes just trying to look at her when she was a baby • Her mother couldn’t get her to sit down at 1 • Running at 7 months

Family • Her & her 2 siblings, Ronald Jr & Raina, used to put on shows for their mother when she was back home away for work & tell her that they got a show for her • Mothers side of the family is more artistic & fathers side of the family is more into music • Her childhood was stolen from her by her father, who forced her into show business

Growing Up • Lisa Nicole Lopes was born May 27, 1971 • As a little girl everything was natural for her • Played piano at the age of 4 & could listen to anything & sit down & figure it out • Ear of music exhibited at the age of 5 & received a toy piano for Christmas • Lisa learned how to play actual songs on the piano impressing family & friends • Lisa entertained her bro & sis with stories that she wrote

  5. Teenage Years • When she got in trouble she got the heavy duty punishment. The only thing she could do is sit & do nothing. • Moved to Florida with her mother along with Raina & Ronald (sister & brother) • Family got separated so Lisa stayed with her grandmother & life was difficult for her living their • The only thing she could do was drink. Her & her father used to drink just to spend time together • Drunk a large amount of alcohol & not get tipsy

Teenage Cont. • At age 17, she finally left for good • She arrived in Atlanta with 750 dollars to her name • Her father died when Lisa was just 17 years old • In 1990, she formed a group with Tionne & Crystal & auditoned for Pebbles • Their group was called 2nd Nature • Pebbles love Lisa & Tionne but not Crystal • Shortly Pebbles found Rozanda • Tionne was known as “T-Boz” , Lisa “Left Eye” & Rozanda “Chilli” & together they were TLC

Love Life • In 1992, Lisa started dating Andre Rison • Andre Rison was an NFL star & he followed Lisa all around a club to get with her • That really annoyed her but they started living together that night • They had problems throughout their relationship • Lisa never had any freedom. She had to ask permission to do things • Andre was kinda abusive & got known as the victim • Lisa had lost herself • In 1994, Lisa stumbled onto stacks of tennis shoes. She was drunk & threw all the tennis shoes in the bath tub & set them on fire then the house quickly set fire. • Lisa had to do 5 years of probation & a 10,000 dollar fine • The couple stayed off & on for over 7 years

  15. Solo Albums • Lisa challenges TLC to a 3 CD set & challenge La Face Records to put a 1 million prize on the winner to the person who release the best 3 singles at once. In the history of music this was the first time that ever happened

Honduras • Lisa discovered the Ush Nutrition Center in Jutiapa, Honduras in 1999 where she found inner peace & solace at a healing center/spa after years on personal instability • Bought land near the spa & built a condomimium spending up to a month there for rest & medication. Its been in Honduras for the past few years • Lisa could be found on a beach near her condo playing volleyball with local residents or shooting pool in a one-room , tin-roofed club called BilllaresYancsy • Lisa talked her uncle, Anthony Lopes , to move there. He still lives there with his fiancee • There she was vacationing, participating in events,& get some inner peace

  18. Death • Left Eye died on April 26, 2002 in a car accident driving on the highway in Roma, Honduras near La Ceiba, Honduras • Her funeral was located at the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, Georgia • Everyone was welcome to attend in the surrounding area
