  2. The IKT Analytical Knowledge Group in Short Part of the IKT department at ASB 15 employees: Bachelor and Master Students HA, HA dat, MAC and Finance Services: IT Support Educational Support Analytical Support

  3. IT Support and Educational Support IT support is coordinated from “service desken” in H14. From here technical support in connection with printers, computers, logon rights, programs etc is provided to employees and students at ASB. Is as a rule of thumb free. The IKT Analytical Knowledge Group offers educational support in the form of educational seminars in statistical and analytical programs such as Excel, SPSS and SAS. Is as a rule of thumb free.

  4. Analytical Support The group offers analytical support within different fields of quantitative analysis such as: 1) Questionnaires (Studsurvey and Inquisite) 2) Modeling and simulation (Excel, Arena and Crystal Ball) 3) Databases (Account Data, DataStream, Amadeus, Zephyr and WRDS) 4) Data processing (SPSS, SAS, E-Views, AMOS). 5) Furthermore, the group has competences in other areas like MS VBA, MS Access, Databasedesign and SAP Business One.

  5. Analytical Support - cost The cost of analytical support is 116kr./ hour. Researchers can apply the institute for funding the same way as they apply for funding when hiring regular student assistants. We have a collaboration agreement with SAS. Therefore, researchers that hire us and use SAS as part of their research can apply for funding – 30.000 kr./year. Applications can be mailed to Heidbra at hejo@asb,dk

  6. How we work An e-mail describing the project is sent to analyse@asb.dk Or a researcher meets us face to face in H14 and explains the project

  7. How we work The nature of project is explored and the most suited people for the project is found. This is done based on the Shared Knowledge Base (Database of individual competences). Often an experienced and an inexperienced employee are put together so that experience and knowledge can be shared within the group.

  8. How we work The employees work on the project while having contact to the researcher. If questions arise the employees seek help from the Shared Knowledge Base or seek individual advise from colleagues. During the working process the employees write down the knowledge, problems, solutions and experience they acquire.

  9. How we work The project is ended and checked by a senior group member. The project is sent to the researcher for approval. The daily loggings/ lessons learned from the project are incorporated into the Shared Knowledge Base.

  10. Summing up The IKT Analytical Knowledge Group offers: IT support Educational Support Analytical Support, quantitative Combines collective knowledge sharing with personal contact to researchers.
