Shortly after high school, Mariah Carey got her first big break, singing backup for Brenda K. Starr, a break that led to her signing with Columbia Records. • Mariah Carey's debut album launched an unparalleled unbroken string of successes. William Peter Ham • (April 24, 1947 - April 23, 1975) was a Welsh singer and songwriter, best known as the leader of the ill-fated group, Badfinger. • Ham was born in Swansea, and formed the group while still in his teens. In 1969, the group was "discovered" by Paul McCartney and recorded for the Apple label. After four hits, they became embroiled in financial problems, and Ham hanged himself, to be followed eight years later by the suicide of his friend and fellow band member, Tom Evans. Together, Ham and Evans wrote the classic hit, Without You. • Peter Ham left behind a pregnant girlfriend and his personal estate was nearing foreclosure. His suicide note accused Badfinger's manager of stealing the band's royalties. • Ham's suicide note: "Anne, I love you. Blair, I love you. I will not be allowed to love and trust everybody. This is better. Pete. P.S. Stan Polley is a soulless bastard. I will take him with me."

  9. Story: • On that day ,Anna and Johnson met at their friend's birthday party. Anna was attracted by his melancholy sight.A few days later,they became a couple of lover.They nearly got together everyday.In that winter,the former girlfriend of Johnson ,Maggie, came back to find Johnson and said that she still loved him.Then they embraced each other.At the moment Anna saw this,her heart suddenly got cold and turned around to leave.In the evening,when Johnson arrived at their home,he saw Anna sitting on the floor. Johnson said “Sorry,I can’t take in you.I love Maggie all the time,I hope you can forgive me.”Anna said calmly,“I let you go.”At last, Johnson left without any words.Since Johnson left,Anna found that she couldn’t forget Johnson.She often thought of that evening and his face as he was leaving.Finally,Anna ended up her life in one month,on her testament,was written“I can’t live ,if living is without you.”

  10. opinion In my opinion, the song writer might be his love just fade away before he wrote this song. I felt very sad and sentimental when I listened to the song. I think it is move because I can find out that her must love him deeply in heart. It sound very beautiful.
