  2. Mentally retarded & kids • Mentally retarded should not have kids.

  8. They will get picked on by society.

  9. Parents want Lora sterilized fear she could give birth to baby she is incapable of raising.

  10. They do not understand connection between intercourse and pregnancy

  11. Birth control could interfere with their other medications. • The only safe way to make sure they aren’t going to have kids is to make sure they are sterilized.

  12. People with mental retardation have fundamental rights as individuals to exercise their rights and responsibilities in regard to privacy and sexual expression and the rights of others

  13. A mentally retarded couple getting pregnant can result in abuse, the psychological affects on them may be overwhelming.

  14. if you have one parent that is mentally challenged there is a good chance that you will have a mentally challenged child.

  15. Jenn Bertrand is now raising a child that lived most of her life with a mentally challenged person. She is at an extremely low level in school. She also adopted his behaviors and mannerisms. She has a limited view of the world. She has become a challenging child even though she is not mentally challenged. It's almost like she has the door shut in her world and doesn't know that she can open it. I would say that everyone can love but there is a lot more to parenting than that.
