  3. In our last lesson we learnt that buildings don’t have to be built and designed one way. Lets take a closer look at 5 buildings and try to find the hidden shapes in each building. Through imagination and creativity buildings can be designed and made using many different shapes.

  4. Lets begin with this building in Melbourne, Austraila. What shapes could this building be made of? Lets take a closer look… Carefully looking at the side of this building, can you see which shape appears the most? Different shaped triangles appear on this building. Let’s take a closer look… Looking carefully, what shapes appear the most in this building? This building is made up of different sized squares and rectangles.   9. In each of the 5 buildings we saw, we found… Houses and buildings are all around us and are made from many different shapes. Triangles Next time you are out and about with your “shape sheet”, see if there are buildings and houses that have the same shapes you have. Squares and rectangles Diamonds with triangles and rectangles If you see new shapes you can add them to your sheet. And rectangles with squares and pentagons.
