  3. American’s questioned leaders’ authority and loyalties. • Starting in the 1940’s Truman starts getting involved in French affairs. • Sends money to French because they are failing miserably in War.

  4. Continued…. • Eisenhower follows trend, sending money in the 1950’s, sending more money to help in Vietnam, supplies, and 700 “military advisers”. • American’s get suspicious about our countries “aid”
