Why does plagiarism happen? • Students do not know how to cite sources properly • Students do not know how to paraphrase or summarize information correctly • Students do not plan ahead for their assignments (poor time management skills) • Students do not handle stress well • Students do not understand what plagiarism is and the serious consequences of academic dishonesty
The Consequences of Plagiarism Academic Dishonesty is serious and punishable! Students may expect a mark of zero. Students may also face other serious consequences.
