  3. What Does PLTW Mean? • Project Lead The Way (PLTW) is the nation’s leading provider of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs

  4. NICC Cresco Center PLTW Lab Space • The PLTW Lab has it’s own printer for easy access to documents that are being printed

  8. NICC Cresco Center PLTW Lab Space • Here are our 3D printers • The two white 3D printers are called ROBO 3D R1. These two printers are similar to other 3D printers that print with ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) and PLA (Polylactic Acid or Polylactide) filaments that are melted and laid/printed in successive layers of material, under computer control. • The orange colored 3D printer is called the Form 1+. It uses SLA (Stereolithography Apparatus) technology, and prints with a laser that hardens the liquid photopolymer resin. (So we get a solid from the liquid)
