  4. Mighty Warrior! • The Lord turned to him and said, "Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian's hand. Am I not sending you?" Judges 6:14

  5. Mighty Warrior! • Tear down your father's altar to Baal and cut down the Asherah pole beside it. Then build a proper kind of altar to the Lord your God on the top of this height. Using the wood of the Asherah pole that you cut down, offer the second bull as a burnt offering." Judges 6:12; 25

  8. Mighty Warrior! • Or, whatever you use to medicate/mask the pain of not having your basic needs met: • Feeling not loved, not loveable • Feeling insecure, scared • Feeling worthless, hopeless • Feeling insignificant, angry, defeated

  9. Mighty Warrior! What’s idol worship do to you? • Gives you enough to lead you on • Requires your passion, time, energy, money, • Preoccupies your thoughts • Eventually enslaves

  11. Mighty Warrior! • Gives you enough to lead you on • Requires your passion, time, energy, money, • Preoccupies your thoughts • Eventually enslaves • Keeps you from following Jesus, experiencing your real identity, destiny and purpose. What’s idol worship do to you?

  12. Mighty Warrior! How do you get rid of idols? • Identify ‘em • Repent, turn away from the idols. • Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself.
