  1. Enquiring! There’s a sea of knowledge out there... add a drop to the ocean today.

  2. ENQUIRERS AIMS • To learn what it means to be effective inquirers! • To enquire into why and how we learn 

  3. Listen while your teacher talks through the following slides then you’ll be given an activity sheet….

  4. We want you to be Enquirers, but that doesn’t mean we want you to spend hours on the internet…..

  5. Or experiment all the time…..

  6. And we’re definitely not telling you to question EVERYTHING!

  7. So what sort of ENQUIRERS DO we want you to be?

  8. BE CURIOUS!!! • An enquirer thinks about possibilities! They think about why and how they are doing things.

  9. ASK SMART QUESTIONS! • A smart enquirer asks questions that are designed to give an answer that will help them in their studies.

  10. For example… • In school you learn but have you ever thought about why and how you learn???

  11. Today you’ll be asking why and how you learn….. • Collect the work-sheet ‘An Enquiry into My Learning’ and work through this with your teacher…..

  12. Remember - Enquire, think, and ask how and why questions – perhaps things could be done differently!

  13. Enquire – it’ll make you happier!

  14. Finally • Put your name on your work and put it into your yellow folder.
