  3. Who is being described and identify the technique where possible • Hair hung in little rolled clusters, like sausages • Pale, blind old eyes • Tightly curled hair • Large and lean hands • Crazy bastard • Angry little man

  4. Answer in full sentences with a quote and analysis to support • Do you think the men on the ranch find Curley’s wife attractive? • Does Lennie find her attractive? • Show examples of when she flirts with the men. • How can we make a link between Curley’s wife and the stable-buck? • Look at Steinbeck’s description of Slim, how do you think he wants the reader to respond to this character? • What do you predict the relationship will be like between Slim and George and Lennie?
