Discussion/Conclusion • Participant’s consistency with research findings? • The positive influence of his parents was overridden by his deviant peers • Supportive and strict parents both led him to and from deviant behaviors. • Substance abuse was common among peers, but they did not use intimidation. • Participant felt a need to “fit in.” • Subject did not think he contributed to peer pressure.
