  3. What events led to the Gold Rush? • Rumors of Gold in California. • John Sutter became a Mexican citizen and received a land grant of 50,000 acres in Sacramento Valley. • ALSO it was the inability to keep a secret and peoples big mouths.

  4. Where did it happen? • Sacramento Valley, California • Spain or Mexico Where were people coming from?

  5. How did they get here? • They were coming from Spain and Mexico and settling in California then there were over 150, 000 native Americans.
