  5. 10:1 • 1) Average odds on a gaming table in the casino here. 2) Chance that Congress will pass an on time budget or any law that makes sense this year. 3) Ratio of dollars returned to local businesses through travel and tourism for every $1 spent on National Parks.

  6. In 2014 Crater Lake will generate $36-40 million in travel related spending in gateway community economies. The four main national park sites in Oregon will generate about 875,000 visits and $59 million in local spending During the October 2013 federal shutdown it is estimated that there were 7.8 million fewer park visitors across the US which resulted in a $414 million loss to local businesses.
