  2. Motivações • Missões espaciais : Mariner, Venera, Pioneer, Viking, Voyager, Galileu, Pathfinder, Mars Global Surveyor, Cassini-Huygens etc. • Marte e Vênus • Europa e Titã • Meteorito de Marte (1984 / 1996 ) • A descoberta de planetas extra-solares (1993 / 1995)

  3. O que procurar ? • O que é vida ? • Características dos seres vivos: metabolismo, reprodução, evolução • Química da Vida / Carbono ( As concepções que a ciência teve e tem sobre a vida têm sido freqüentemente questionadas. )

  4. Onde procurar ? • Excluir sistemas planetários de estrelas massivas (M > 10 Mo) e de baixa massa (M < 0,8Mo) • Estrelas do tipo G e K (Tef : 5700K e 4600K) • Planetas na zona habitável • Luas ( Atmosfera, água líquida, permanecer por longo tempo numa órbita na ZH)

  5. Como procurar ? • Análise de meteoritos • Radiotelescópios: Projetos do tipo SETI . Onde ouvir ? . Em que freqüência ? • Envio de sondas ( Sistema Solar ) • Busca de outros planetas ( satélites )
