  1. America’s Road Team Established by the ATA Keith Johnson from Roadway Express a driver from Tacoma, WA is one of the finalist for America’s Road Team. John Mooney, Keith’s terminal manager nominated him, so he headed to Oregon where he taped a speech on safety. His tape was chosen which placed him as one of the 35 finalists which are selected from all over the country. These finalists will travel to Alexandria, VA in January, where the elimination process will take place. America’s Road Team travels the country speaking on trucking industry topics, such as safety, which is close to Keith’s heart. Keith wants to be on the team so he can promote safety and educate people on the importance of the trucking industry. He stated that trucks bring 98% of what we have and use. Keith has been a truck driver for 25 years, 24 of those have been at Roadway and he continues to be active on Roadway’s Pacific NW Road Team which was established in 2000. He also promotes and competes in the Washington State Truck Driving Championship. Congratulations Keith and good luck in Alexandria!
