  1. Bellencita was constructed in the late 1960s and was named by the owner, Sir Alexander Bustamante.

  2. Bellencita Bellencita was constructed in the late 1960s and was named by the owner, Sir Alexander Bustamante. On his retirement he and Lady B moved to the house where they enjoyed gardening and light farming. The main house is approximately about 1022 m above sea level and has 353 m2 of living area comprised of four bedrooms, three bathrooms, large living room, large dining room, kitchen, and veranda. Outside is a carport and staff quarters.

  3. Grounds Bellencita is set in 9 acres of beautiful mountain land and features large trees, both ornamental and fruit, old coffee stock, lawns, flowers and undeveloped sections. From the gentle slopes there are magnificent views to the south and a panoramic view of Kingston and partial view of the Blue Mountains. The property is bordered by other large high end properties and enjoys prominent neighbors.

  7. Jamaica’s first Prime Minister, Sir Bustamante, resided here with his wife until his death in 1977. Lady Bustamente continued to live at Bellencita until 2001, when the property changed hands to its current owner. In 1966 Queen Elizabeth II visited Bellencita when she came to Jamaica on an official visit. The property enjoyed a number of high ranked visitors and was a popular meeting place for Sir Bustamente for political and private gatherings.

  9. Subdivision approval was granted in 2007 for nine lots, including a large lot with the main house. The property has great potential to be developed further and to be divided into plots. The terrain is ideal for the cultivation and growing of various types of fruit. Coffee cultivation was done for many years and still in place are old coffee plants on a terraced plantation. The property is a registered Blue Mountain coffee farm. There are a number of fruit trees including 20 lychee which regularly bear fruit, mangoes, coconuts, peaches, apples, banana, avocados, breadfruit, otaheite apples and sweet & sour sop.

  10. A lovely piece of Jamaican history in beautiful setting. Irish Town is situated 10 km from Kingston and is an enjoyable, picturesque drive on a winding, but fairly good road.
