Association Members AECSD was established in 2001 The Association Incorporates 12 Depositories from 10 CIS Countries: Central Depository of Armenia The National Depository Center (Azerbaijan) Republican Central Securities Depository (Republic of Belarus) Georgian Central Securities Depository National Securities Depository of Moldova Central Securities Depository (Kazakhstan) Central Depository (Kyrgyzstan) State CSD of the Republic of Uzbekistan Interregional Stock Union (Ukraine) The National Depository of Ukraine Depository Clearing Company (Russian Federation) The National Depository Center (Russian Federation)

Objectives • Harmonization of the regulatory framework; • Establishment of depository links among the members to support cross-border securities transactions; • Standardization of the technologies for the depository operation, procedures for depository transaction processing, and rules and regulations governing the depositories' activities; • Adoption of international messaging standards for depository transactions and their use in the national practice; • Development of Electronic Document Interchange; • Supporting a coordinated process to enable the Association members to integrate into the global depository system.

Annual Meetingsof Association Members The main governing body – the Annual General Meeting of Association Members The V International Conferenceof AECSD and the Annual General Meeting of the Association members took place in Almaty (Republic of Kazakhstan) on 2-3 October 2008 The VI International Conferenceof AECSD and the Annual General Meeting of the Association members will take place in Tashkent (Republic of Uzbekistan) on 15-16 October 2009 The VII International Conferenceof AECSD and the Annual General Meeting of the Association members will take place in Minsk (Republic Belarus ) on July 2010

International Activities of the Association • An observer status inECSDA, AMEDA and ACG; • Participation in internationalconferences and forums (CSD10, Annual Russian Securities Forum, SIBOSetc.); • Organizing and holding seminars and trainingson depository andclearing servicesfor Association members.

AECSD Membersnews The National Depository Center (Azerbaijan): • became a member of ANNA and ISSA • started to prepare Financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards and implemented Corporate Governance principles State CSD of the Republic of Uzbekistan: The new law “On the securities market” has come into force: • only one unified form of securities issue - dematerialized • new type of a market participant - transfer-agent • it is now possible to combine two types of business activities in one legal entity: a) Depository and Brokerage b) Depository and Transfer-agent • CSD may also perform the registrar functions Central Securities Depository (Kazakhstan): CSD became the National Numbering Agency

AECSD Membersnews Depository Clearing Company (Russian Federation): • Thomas Murray Ratings LtdupgradedDCC Rating to A+ with Stable Outlook The National Depository Center (Russian Federation): • Changes in NDC corporate structure: fromnot-for-profit partnership into a joint stock company • In 2009 NDC will implement an updated technological platform for the depository • Thomas Murray Ratings Ltd. upgraded NDC Rating to AA- level • NDC’s key priority remains further development of its services offering to the clients: • Implementation of securities lending technology • DVP settlement • Further extension of usage of ISO formats
