It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. 4Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.  5For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

  11. Is the giving of thanks … is an attitude of gratitude something that comes to us naturally?

  12. Book of Psalms – the giving of thanks is referenced some 47 times! 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 5:20 Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Colossians 3:15 . . . and be thankful.

  13. Post written by Joseph Rhea – Gospel Coalition web site “As if we couldn’t be ungrateful enough on our own, ingratitude may be the yeast that makes American culture rise.” “Advertising persuades us that this thing will satisfy that need we didn’t know we had 30 seconds ago. HGTV shows us how beautiful our homes could be if we only had $50,000 and a professional crew. ‘If only’ is the prayer behind ingratitude, and it’s everywhere.”

  14. If we desire to spread the aroma of Christ throughout our schools, our workplaces, our neighborhoods, – we must be a thankful people!

  15. Two insights from Psalm 100 which will help us to become a more grateful people! 2

  16. 2 suggestions toward becoming more thankful! Psalm 100 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. 2Serve the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. 3Know that the LORD is God. 17. 1. Get intentional about cultivating an attitude of gratitude! “Most human beings have an absolute and infinite capacity for taking things for granted.” (Aldous Huxley) “In these days of abundance and wealth, it is our tendency to become ungrateful and presumptuous.” (Chuck Swindoll)

  18. Ten lepers begged Jesus to heal them and all ten were healed! How many returned to say “thanks?” Only ONE! (Luke 17:11-19)
