HUMAN COMPUTER INTERACTION Definition “Human-computer interaction is a discipline concerned with the design, evaluation and implementation of interactive computing systems for human use and with the study of major phenomena surrounding them” HCI is the study between user and computers , a process of information transfer from user to machine or vice versa
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TERMS “USER INTERFACE (UI)”AND “HUMAN COMPUTER INTERACTION(HCI)” User interface – is a part of computer application or operating system through which a user interacts with a computer or a software. It determines how commands are given to the computer of a program and how information is displayed on the screen. Three main types of user interface are: • Command language – the user must know the machine and program – specific instructions or codes. • Menus – user chooses the commands from lists displayed on the screen. 3. Graphical user interface(HCI) – can be described as the point of communication between the human user and the computer .that means is the relationship between computers and people who use them to perform business-related tasks.
Discuss and argue about why HCI is Important HCI is the interface between humans and the computers they use is crucial to facilitating the interaction. Poorly designed human machine interfaces can lead to many unexpected problems. HCI (Human Computer Interaction) aims to improve the interactions between users and computers by making computers more usable and friendly to users’ needs

As more and more workers use computers in their jobs, training time and ease-of-use issues become economically more and more important.

In order to produce computer systems with good usability, developers must attempt to understand the factors that determine how people use technology, develop tools and techniques to enable building suitable systems, achieve efficient, effective, and safe interaction
