  3. Brief introduction • Born in a poor family in Florida on November 30th, 1835, Mark Twain was brought up in Hannibal, Missouri, along the Mississippi River. Hannibal, Missouri

  4. Brief introduction • Twain loved the Mississippi River so much that even his pen name is about the river. Actually, “Mark twain” was a call used by sailors, which means the water is two fathoms deep and safe for boats to pass.
