  2. Early life • Cathy freeman was born in 1973 at Slade point Mackay Queensland. • She has three brothers Gavin, Gath and Norman who died in a car accident on 16 September2008. • She also has a sister Anne Marie who suffered from cerebral palsy.

  3. Important achievements • Freeman has 27 gold 11 silver and 2 bronze medals.

  4. Interesting facts • In 1999 she married sandy Bodecker. • In 1998 she was awarded Australian of the year. • In 2001 freeman was awarded the sportswomen of the year . • in 2009 she married James Murch and gave birth to a little girl in 2011 .
