Gaul was the name of ancient France • It was inhabited by the Celtics people • Taken over by the Roman Empire around 50 to 58 B.C • Lutetia is the name of ancient Paris • It expanded into a big city when the Romans took over Gaul • St. Genevieve is important because she saved Paris from the invasion of the Huns. Genevieve prayed to God to save Paris and when the Huns didn’t attack the people recognized her as a saint
