Attestation criterion of the educational programs The criterion for  assessing the quality of educational programs for the attestation of the preparation programs for Bachelors and Masters  are the following: Criteria 1. The aim of the educational programs. 1.1. The educational program must have clearly formulated and documented objectives , coinciding the State educational standard of the higher vocational education, Mission of the university, meeting the needs of the potential user of the program. 1.2. The aims of the program should be divided by the academic staff of the university, participating in the implementation of the educational program and also should be published and be made available to all interested parties.

  3. Attestation criterion of the educational programs Criteria 2. Content of the educational program 2.1.The program must have clearly formulated and documented teaching results, that meet the objectives of the educational program. 2.2.Content of the program should correspond not less than: 240 ECTS creditsfor preparing bachelors (TUT -256 credits); 120 ECTScreditsfor preparing masters; Selective subjects should be not less than 25 % and not more than 50 %. 2.3.Curriculum and syllabusof every subject should be according to the aims of the educational program and assure the achievement of the teaching results to all graduates of the program.

Attestation criterion of the educational programs 2.4.The curriculum in the program for preparing bachelors must include: Unit of the humanitarian subjects - 18-22%; Unit of natural sciences and mathematics – 10-13 %; Unitof general-professional and special subjects – 65-72 %. 2.5. The curriculum for preparing masters must include: Unit of specialized according to areas of subjects – 13 %; Unitfor special subjects – 70 %; Unit of scientific-research subjects - 10 %; Unit of final state attestation – 7 %.

  5. Attestation criterion of the educational programs 2.6. Unit of humanitarian subjects should provide the necessary legal, social, economic, ethical competence of the specialist in the sphere of preparation, building commitment  for the sustainable development, labor safety and health protection. 2.7.Unit of natural sciences and mathematics should provide: in the program for preparing bachelors – knowledge and understanding of the main process, phenomenon, natural laws for their further use in the engineering, ability to use mathematical methods for solving engineering tasks.

Attestation criterion of the educational programs 2.8.Unitgeneral-professional and special subjects in bachelors preparation program should provide – breadth and profundity of preparation, that is important for the implementation of the professional activity in accordance with the purposes of the educational program. 2.9.The obligatory element of the program must be: in the preparing bachelors – implementation and defending the degree work, which includes the elements of scientific – research or experimental- engineering activity (amount of ECTS credits- about 4-8, in TUT - 8), and for preparing masters – implementation and defending master’s research (scientific – research or experimental – engineering project), amount of ECTS credits comprises 8-10, in TUT- 10.

  7. Attestation criterion of the educational programs Criteria 3. Students and teaching process. 3.1. The student, who are accepted for bachelor program must have completed secondary education and sufficient knowledge of the natural sciences and mathematics, which is important for learning new educational program(for the weak students there must be ) provided a system). In TUT there is functioning the Faculty of Fundamental Preparation. 3.2. The education process has to provide the results of achievements in teaching all the students. 3.3. The main factor is the academic mobility, that provides students to study a number of subjects of the curriculum, or go through internships and fellowships in other universities throughout the country or abroad.

  8. Attestation criterion of the educational programs Criteria 4. Academic staff 4.1. Academic staff must be presented by specialists in all fields of knowledge covered by the curriculum; 4.2.Teachers must be qualified to a required level; The important factor in academic staff is their experience in the relevant industry and the implementation of their research projects.

Attestation criterion of the educational programs 4.3.The number of the teachers, who are candidates of sciences and doctors of sciences must comprise 35-45 % from the total amount of academic staff, who are involved in the implementation of the program (academic staff who are known as doctors of sciences must be about 8-10 %). 4.4.Every teacher should know and could ground his/her subject in the curriculum, its relationship with preceding and following subjects and must understand the role of his/her subject in the formation of the specialist.

  10. Attestation criterion of the educational programs Criteria 5. Material and technical basis 5.1. Material provision of the program should be not lower than attestation indicators; 5.2.The classrooms and laboratories and their equipments should be up-to-date and adequate according to the aims of the program; 5.3.The students must have sufficient opportunities for the independent studies and research work; 5.4.The university must regularly update, improve and extend its material-technical base.

  11. Attestation criterion of the educational programs Criteria 6. Information support 6.1.information support must be adequate to the aims of the program. 6.2.The university must have the library with the necessary teaching resources: teaching, technical and reference books and periodical publications. 6.3.Teachers and students must have free access to computer classes and to information resources. 6.4.The university must constantly update, improve and extend its information base.

  12. Attestation criterion of the educational programs Criteria 7. Graduates 7.1.The necessary condition for the attestation program is graduation of the specialists in the frame of the program. 7.2.At the university there must be functioning the system studying the demand, employment, career support and steady professional improvement of university graduates.
