Jack Swigert Aerospace Academy Mission: • To prepare our students for their future. We use aerospace to create a unique learning environment that provides students a rigorouscurriculum in science, technology, engineering, artsand mathematics(STEAM). We also provide a safe, secure, and academically-challenging environment that fosters creativityand teamworkfor our future leaders.
Curriculum Offerings: Provide both character and academics curriculum PBIS/MARS Behavior/Character building Core Classes: Math, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts Advanced Classes: Math and Algebra, Language Arts, Science Elective Classes Orchestra, Band, Choir, Gateway to Technology, Art, Broadcasting
Aerospace-Themed Programs • STEAM Advanced Course- Building a Lunar or Mars Base, Meteorology, International Space Station • Space Foundation Mars and STK Labs and Aerospace Education Specialists • Grade Level standards-based Aerospace-themed Activities for Curriculum Exhibition Nights (twice a year) • Flight Simulator and Flight and Rocketry Club • Robotics Club • Gateway to Technology Elective Class • Aerospace Guest Speakers • Civil Air Patrol Elective Class- *In progress* • Space Camps- Spring Break and Summer * in progress*
