  2. Why are bees alive? • Bees are born • Bees breath • Bees eat • Bees grow • Bees die

Facts about bees • The stinger only comes on females • Bees love sugar, especially sweet fruits • CCD is making bees disappear.( dying ) • If there are two queen bees they fight and one dyes. • The queen will live up to 3-5 years. • The younger the bee is when it stings you, the more painful the venom. • Mites bite into bees exoskeleton and give the bees diseases.

  5. Worker Bee This is the worker bee. They are measuring him by putting honey on a ruler.

  6. Droan bee This is the Droan bee. He has a larger body then the female. He does not do the work for himself.

  7. Queen bee This is the Queen bee. The Queen bee is the one in the middle and the biggest one.

  8. What would happen if bees weren’t alive???? We would not have most of the yummy food we like. We would still have root vegetables , tomatoes , bananas, and mushrooms. People might dye in the next 3-5 years after all the bees are gone. We would have no meat because the Alphalpha needs pollination.

Glossary • Stinger: something that stings you that is in the bees abdomen. • CCD: colony collapse disorder. • Venom: Poison that the bee produces. • Exoskeleton: the bees skeleton • Honey: something that bees make. • Female: A girl • Alphalpha: what cows eat. • Pollination: When bees carry pollen from flower to flower.
