What is Paragliding? • Paragliding is a brand new form of Sport flying, which offers perhaps the easiest and most fun way for almost anyone to realise the age – old dream of personal flight. • Paragliding is the closest humans can get to the feeling of flying like a bird. It is a fun, safe way to experience flight in its simplest form. You simply lay out a wing on a hillside or mountain, inflate it over your head like a kite, run a few steps and before you know it you've stepped off into the sky! A pilot simply steers it into the landing area, and glides down for a very gentle touch down back on to earth. • Paragliding has gained worldwide popularity because it is safe, easy to learn, the equipment is simple, light in weight and relatively inexpensive compared to any other type of aircraft. • Paragliding is an outdoor sport in which you learn to harmonize with the forces of nature.
Learning to fly • Just about anyone can learn to paraglide. Training classes are not very strenuous, and it doesn't take any unusual strength or skill to learn to fly. In fact it requires about the same effort as you need to learn driving or cycling. • SAFETY: Like any other adventure sport it is exciting because of that little element of risk but no more than climbing or swimming. Personal judgment and attitude are of fundamental importance. Gain pilot attitude, obey instructions and use of safe equipment. • People of both sexes and all ages can take up the sport • Flight Training Program Introductory Course: Student Pilot (Level P1) Duration - 3 days Rating: 'Student Pilot'Novice Course: Trainee Pilot (Level P2) Duration - 4 flying days Rating: 'Trainee Pilot'Intermediate Course: Club Pilot(Level P3) Duration - 5 flying days Rating: 'Club Pilot'
Flight Safety ‘Aviation’, as the saying goes, ‘is as safe as the pilot in command’. • All flight training is conducted under supervised conditions with standard Paragliding safety regulations. • Safety is a matter of attitude. Safety judgement is about deciding whether or not you - the pilot, your equipment and the weather conditions are suitable for flight. During training, the Instructor makes this decision for you, and as you progress in skill and knowledge you learn to make your own safe decisions. • There are standard checks and procedures, safety rules and rules of the air. Most of these rules are simple and require minimal effort like driving on the correct side of the road. • As an Instructor, I ensure that my students realise the responsibility to know the rules of flight and obey them to fly safely. • As a training school, we have Internationally Certified equipment, Safety standards and training study material. • “Safety First” is our basic commitment and principle. Temple Pilots team is dedicated to making safe and competent pilots. • We have a 100% Safety Record.
The Process • To learn to fly is a decision and means different things to different individuals. The need to fly is basic and comes from a natural urge to free oneself of all limitations. • This decision demands one to step out of one’s comfort zone and take up a challenge to achieve something one never thought possible. • In dealing with such challenges, and by overcoming perceived limitations into abilities, trainee pilots learn a great deal about themselves. • Learning to fly with your friends or colleagues creates an environment where pilots naturally share their fears and yet encourage each other to try their best. This is clearly visible in our briefing sessions. • Flight training teaches one to take complete responsibility of one’s actions and decisions. The checks and procedures inculcates in one a sense of discipline that is necessary for safe flying. • Airmanship is all about being fully aware both while flying and on ground and being ready to help at all times. • Pilots share a special bond that comes from sharing the sky and flying together.
