Things to do with Wordle Students can use the key words in the wordle to create sentences about the topic Students could create their own wordle using key words from a topic. Students could use the wordle to create poetry Wordle could be used to create spelling lists List ways to say the same thing in different ways e.g. greetings List the names of characters from a movie or story List key points about a historical event, a famous speech or a famous person Create a book jacket using a wordle of key characters, places or events within the book. Create a wordle that reviews the workings of an object. (e.g. an ear). The wordle could be pasted over a picture of the object. Create two wordles out of two articles on the same topic then compare the wordles Create a dictionary wordle. Create a wordle by listing words in english and the corresponding words from another language (e.g.) german. Students can link the words together. Cut an paste an article on a particular topic into a wordle use the wordle for power writing.
Wordle • To save wordle so that you can use it in powerpoints or word you need to: • Save the wordle to the gallery • On your laptop press the fn and the prtsc keys • Open the paint programme on your laptop • Press edit > paste • Select the cropping tool and select the wordle cloud > right click and copy • Go to file>new>do not save changes> edit > paste • Save into your pictures. It will be a jpg file that you can then insert into power points or word documents.
