  14. Read all about it! In groups of 2: What does the newspaper say? Who wrote it/when was it written? What does it tell us about the time period? What else do we need to know in order to understand it better?

  15. Combine groups: Pair up with a group who had the opposite newspaper!

  16. EXTRA, EXTRA, READ ALL ABOUT IT...! Write a newspaper headline for an Abolitionist newspaper. Your headline should be catchy, and address one (or more!) of the following questions: • What are abolitionists trying to do? • Who are some of the famous abolitionist? • What is the best way to convince people to join the abolitionist cause?
