  1. Activity of Sino-German Science and Education Year Sino-German Advanced Manufacturing Technology Symposium Report on Sino-German cooperative RESEARCH projects 2009.9.15-2009.9.16

Introduction On the 14th Conference of Sino-German manufacturing technology Steering Committee, the following three projects were established: ①SML based integrated system for product collaborative design, manufacturing and measuring. ②Network oriented high-performance cutting technologies and applications.③Unfolding Technology Lead in Sino-German Cooperation – Cooperatively Provided Services as Enabler for the Optimal Operation of Complex Machine Tools. To enhance the Sino-German cooperation and communication on manufacturing technological field and display the cooperative achievements, the “Sino-German Advanced Manufacturing Technology Symposium” will be hold on Sep. 15th-16th, 2009, at Shenyang, China. This symposium has been listed as one of activities in “Sino-German Science and Education Year”. The symposium is jointly sponsored by Ministry of Science and Technology of People's Republic of China (MOST) and Ministry of Education and Research of Germany (BMBF) and Shenyang Machine Tool (Group) Co. Ltd (SMTCL). It a great honor for us to invite some well-known experts and they will give academic reports on the symposium: Prof. Dr. Eckart Uhlmann, chair of the world famous Fraunhofer-Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology of Berlin; Academician Lu Bingheng, chief of “National key laboratory of advanced NC machine tool” for SMTCL; Prof. Dr. Horst Meier, chair of Department of Mechanical Engineering of Ruhr University; Prof. Dr. Eberhard Abele, chair of Production Management, Technology and Machine Tools (PTW) of Darmstadt University of Technology; Dr. Reinhard Freudenberg, general engineer of Aachen Fraunhofer-Institute for manufacturing technology. Warm welcome to all the Chinese and German enterprises, scientific research institutions and High school to participate this symposium and to promote the Sino-German cooperation in science and technology through Sino-German advanced technological communication platform.
