Simple columnar epithelium • Look for ciliated OR nonciliated types
Adipose Connective Tissue • Use low light
Elastic connective tissue • NOT elastic cartilage • Look for outer ring of vessel
Hyaline cartilage connective tissue Label: nucleus of chondrocyte, lacuna, ground substance
Elastic cartilage • Note elastic fibers in ground substance
Compact bone • Label: Haversian canal, lacuna, caniliculi
Smooth muscle tissue • Non striated, spindle-shaped, one nucleus
Skeletal muscle tissue • Multinucleated, striated
Cardiac muscle tissue • Striated, involuntary, look carefully for intercalated discs
Nerve tissue • Look for blue stained cell body with axons and dendrites projecting
