  2. SET Stange Energietechnik GmbH • History SET Stange Energietechnik GmbH was founded in 1997, itsheadquarterslocated in thecentreof Germany, in Langenfeld, Germnay. Ourcompanyoriginatesfromthe Zeise Elektromaschinenbau GmbH, whosevehicle- and marine generatorlineofproduction was taken on. The water-cooled, Diesel drivengeneratorthathadbeendevelopedbythe Zeise company was updatedandtheproductlinehasbeenextended. Besidesthepatentedwater-cooledasynchronousgenerator, oursystems´specialityistheefficientsound-proofing, thatallowesthegeneratortobeoperatedwithoutproducingdisturbingnoise. The generatorsareequipedwith a specialwinding, that in additiontotheconventional 400/230 V three-phaseor 230 V single-phasesimultaneouslychargesyourstarter-batteryandguarantees a self-sufficientsystem. The asynchronous designed SET generators are built with the latest materials and production methods, being virtually maintenance free as there are no brushes, sliprings or diodes. Only SET asynchronous generators, with protection class IP 54 (protection against dirt and water) can offer safe installation in any location. This is very important for the safety in vehicle market.
