  1. Architecture – UML framework – [Mech.] Ventilation – Anesthetic context ontology TGG (Transformational Generative Grammar) framework is shown in the following diagram. Refer to MDCx73 Working Wiki for additional detail. UML Frmwk - Nomen - VentAnes context …_jw6.pptx

  2. Architecture – UML framework – [Mech.] Ventilation – RefID “Productions” TGG “Productions” are instances of Terms (RefID, Code) generated by particular traversals. The “regular” set is the set of all combinations, which is said to be “recursively enumerable” and may be conditioned in order to arrive at a usable ubset, such as a “releasable” subset. 3. Architecture – UML framework – [Mech.] Ventilation – CONC in Vent Modality context . UML Frmwk - Nomen - VentAnes context

  4. Architecture – UML framework – [Mech.] Ventilation – RefID “Productions” The VentAnes “Namespace” is expanded in the following diagram. The top and bottom matrices are “mirrored” in that the center part of the matrices reflect the same dimensionalities (column at left of middle part of matrices), and the same modality Metrical progression left to right. The bottom matrix represents “actualities” (MEASure[ment]s and CALC[ulation]s hierarchically organized @ VMD’s, the main one representing a Ventilator, the ones to the right of it representing related VMD’s, progressing to perfusion-related VMDs. The “VentAnes” namespace is in the bottom center. Some additional notation is used to simplify expression. A ‘control modality’ generalization is used to integrate common characteristics of Vents and Pumps, which, in this perspective, differ mostly in terms of the particular Modes and fluidgas substances delivered. The phasic and synergistic properties of the Vent-Patient system become more apparent when system dynamics are considered; in this diagram, they are main identified as algorithms, which require another major namespace for “Mode”. Basically, there are a number of classes and types of ventilation regimens that change delivery characteristics systematically to achieve the range of therapies appropriate for a given “product”. Refer to the next diagram (“MSoS”) for expansion of the clinical “landscape”. UML Frmwk - Nomen - VentAnes context

  5. Architecture – UML framework – [Mech.] Ventilation – Distributed clinical context There are a number of use cases that the modality ontology codes/adapts for, indicating that the generalization is resonant with applications.
