You may copy and paste the scientists’ names into Google (or any search engine) to find information. However, you MUST only select RELIABLE sites to visit and gather information. Wikipedia, blogs, and answer sites (Yahoo Answers, Wiki Answers etc.) are NOT reliable sources for research. Did you know that those sites are written by regular people who don’t have to be experts in the subject matter they are writing about? Even though some of the information there is correct, much of it is NOT accurate and therefore it should not be used for research projects. Biography.com, pbs.org, and sites with “edu” in the web address ARE good sources. Additionally, well-known newspapers (such as the NY Times) may also be used. Please be selective when viewing your search results – don’t even visit the site if isn’t a reliable source. You may delete this slide from your finished presentation. Tips/Suggestions
Country he where he lived: Dates he lived: Main findings (What’s he known for?): Optional: You may want to include a picture of your scientist Type Scientist #1’s Name Here
Books/essays he’s written (include the dates): How do his findings relate to the modern theory of evolution (Are his findings still considered accurate? Have they been disproven?) If possible, include information on how his findings related to the commonly held beliefs of the day. (Were they accepted or was the scientist ridiculed for his findings?)
