WHY • An estimated 5.2% of the waste stream is made up of clothing and household textiles. • To reduce waste going to the landfill in turn reducing our landfill cost and recycling and reusing when and where possible. • An available option with no cost to us at Centers already established and manned in the most populated areas.

WHERE • 1. GOSE PIKE CONVENINCE CENTER – DANVILLE CUSTOMER FLOW PER YEAR – 71,000 • 2. ALUM SPRINGS CONVENIENCE CENTER – JUNCTION CITY CUSTOMER FLOW PER YEAR – 39,000

WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER GUY/GAL • 1. We continue to educate and advertise the use of current textile drop-off boxes in private locations as a source for residents to recycle. • 2. We continue to educate and advertise the use of drop-off locations such as Churches, Salvation Army, and Goodwill. • 3. The intention of Convenience Center Drop off boxes is for those residents that will not or don’t want to go to the other locations, they want the convenience of recycling textiles, assisting the Special Olympics while discarding their solid waste – one stop location.
