Hold the tuning fork as shown. 2. Bang the side of one of the prongs against the rubber bung. 3. Hold the tuning fork so that one of the prongs just touches the surface of the water, in the middle of the bowl. 4. What do you observe? 1. Put rice on the drum. 2. Bang the drum, away from the rice. 3. What happens? 4. Now bang harder. What happens?

Now lift the bottle up so it is not under the water, but keep your ear over the top of the bottle. Tap the stones together again.
