Energy Efficient Purchase and Retrofit Program • Snugg Home Colorado’s Purchase & Retrofit Program allows your buyers to purchase an existing home and wrap the energy efficient upgrades into their mortgage. • We have lenders available that are ready to process these loans - or - the buyer is welcome to use their own lender. • Snugg Home Colorado’s Energy Advisor provides full assistance through the entire process, which keeps everything on schedule, whichavoids delays in closing the loan. • An Energy Audit can be scheduled at the same time as the Home Inspection. The $300 Audit fee is paid upfront, which includes all Energy Advisor assistance. This fee may then be refunded to the buyer at closing. • Your buyer reviews the audit report with estimated cost and decides which upgrades they want to present to the lender. • Once the funds are in escrow, Snugg Home Colorado provides a team of certified contractors to complete the work. Our Energy Advisor schedules the contractors after conferring with your buyer and continues to keep everything on schedule. • The Energy Advisor provides Quality Assurance and reports to the Lender when all work has been completed.
