Rewarding the Son ‘God raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion … and God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over every-thing for the church.’ Ephesians 1:20-22

Pleading our case ‘Christ Jesus who died – more than that, who was raised to life – is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.’ Romans 8:34
Preparing our place ‘My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?’ John 14:2
Perfecting our grace ‘Be wise in the way you act towards outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.’ Colossians 4:5-6
Releasing the Spirit ‘Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptised withwater, but in a few days you will be baptised withthe Holy Spirit.’ verse 3

Energising with power ‘You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.’ verse 8 ‘I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.’ Luke 24:48-49
Equipping with gifts ‘To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a mess-age of knowledge,to another faith, to another gifts of healing, to another mira-culous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues,and to still another the inter-pretation of tongues.’ 2 Cor. 12:8-10
Equipping with gifts ‘God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of administration, and of different kinds of tongues.’ 2 Cor. 12:28
Equipping with gifts ‘But grace was given to each of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift … and his gifts were that some should be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers.’ Ephesians 4:11
Enriching with fruit ‘The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience (forbearance), kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.’ Galatians 5:22-23
Revealing the Father ‘What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived – the things God has prepared for those who love him –these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.’ 1 Corinthians 2: 9,10
Revealing the Father Through his Word By our Witness To the World
Through his Word ‘After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.’ Acts 4:31
By our witness ‘You will be my witnesses’ verse 8 ‘When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father – the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father – he will testify about me. And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning.' John 15:26-27
To the world ‘You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.’ verse 8 ‘Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.’ Matthew 28:19-20
